Welcome to Ishball, where the sun is almost always shining and where new adventures await.
Eons ago the native people of Ishball, the Ishballens, thrived in their island nation. Their society was one of harmony, only warring with neighboring islands in times of trouble. Slowly, scores of northern immigrants found their way to the island nation, whether by shipwreck or chance. Two cultures collided, though a struggle did not begin. The natives gladly welcomed the newcomers, and taught them about the land and their culture. Only when more and more travelers journeyed to Ishball in the 1500’s did the region’s native culture face annihilation. And so, a land rich in ancient history and culture finally became known to the Pokemon world.
Five-hundred years ago, the Order sealed the seven legendary siblings, locking them in hidden shrines in order to restore peace to the region. Their plan worked, and the legends lay dormant, watching time pass by. As the seals weakened, the legends discovered that they could touch the minds of humans and manipulate their elements from within their prisons. And they did, preserving the peace their capture had brought.
But now times have changed. The customs of the native people are dying out, along with the native language as trainers from around the world move in to the region. But certain things will not die quietly. The decedents of the Order are quietly ensuring the survival of Ishball’s dying customs. They whisper the legends of old to those who will listen, and back the rebellion against the false queen.
The legend’s seals can no longer hold their great power. One by one, the legends are breaking free from their shrines, releasing the immense amount of power they have been storing for centuries.
The stage is set for a series of impossible events. Which side will you choose?

Wow, it's been a while, huh? Anyhoo, I hope you all got the e-mail about the site closing temporarily. This'll give me more time to get up a decent skin, finish school, etc. The site re-opens June 12th!

PokeDex update, guys! I sent the sketches of the Ishballen starters off to a friend of mine, but she got her spriting materials taken away. So... unless I can get someone else to line, we'll have to wait. The good news? I'm sketching up more pokemon. We'll have our entire dex drawn by summer, or earlier. Doesn't hurt that I have art, either.
I'll be spriting up a dex sprite and the other items new trainers receive. It'll be put into a nice template, along with the captured pokemon template. I've also got to find a new gym leader if I cannot persuade one of ours to become more active...
So, while I may not be replying as much, there is work being done!

Phew, new year! I know, I know, I have work to do. But don't forget that it's my Senior Year. I have a lot of preparations to make for June. A lot.
But rest easy, everything will get done. I've been doing a lot of spriting for the Dex. My writing muse has returned as well, so I will be posting this weekend.

We're open for business! I'm having trouble with the welcome table and PM bar, but...there are people I can ask for help. So, expect to see me fiddling with the welcome tabe/PM bar/banner.
In other news... Expect a promo within the next few days! It'll be something good...considering the fact that I kept the site closed for a month longer than I originally promised. And a few new islands... and some new pokemon for the dex ;D Got our starters drawn and a good friend is outlining them...then it's off to color!

Hey guys! Look! Loooook! I've been making progress! HA! The site should be open either tonight or tomorrow, depending on how long I want to stay up after rehearsals. So, expect to get an e-mail announcing Ishball's opening events....and a new plot >3
